How to delete pages from a PDF

  1. Add your PDF. Drop it onto the box above, or use Choose PDF files.
  2. Delete pages. Select the pages to remove and choose Delete, or use the delete button on a single page. With the keyboard, press Delete or Backspace.
  3. Choose Download. The new PDF holds every page that is left, in order.

Change your mind at any time

Deleting only takes a page out of the set you are about to download. Choose Undo, or press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac), and it comes back where it was. Your original file is never changed: the result is always a new file in your downloads.

To remove many pages, select a range: click the first page, then Shift-click the last. Ctrl-click (⌘-click on a Mac) adds single pages to the selection or takes them out. If you only want to keep a few pages, it can be easier to select those and use Extract instead.

What happens to your file

Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. The new PDF is built in your browser, on your device, from the pages you kept. No sign-up. There is no account because there is nothing of yours for us to keep. No watermarks.

Good to know

  • Links in the PDF that pointed to a deleted page no longer go anywhere, and bookmarks are not kept.
  • Password-protected PDFs can't be opened. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.

Questions about deleting PDF pages

Can I get a deleted page back?

Yes, with Undo, until you leave the page or choose Start over. Your original file is never changed.

Can I delete pages from several PDFs at once?

Yes. Add all the files, and their pages appear in one grid. Delete what you don't need and download one combined PDF.

What happens if I delete every page?

The grid says that no pages are left, and Undo brings them back. There is nothing to download until there are pages again.

Does deleting pages make the file smaller?

Usually, because the deleted pages are not copied into the new file. Pictures or fonts that a remaining page also uses are still included.

Can I delete pages on a phone?

Yes. Tap the pages to select them, then tap the Delete button in the toolbar.
