How to extract pages from a PDF
- Add your PDF. Drop it onto the box above, or use Choose PDF files.
- Select the pages you want. Click a page to select it, Shift-click to select a range, and Ctrl-click (⌘-click on a Mac) to add or remove single pages.
- Choose Extract. A new PDF with only those pages downloads, named like contract-extracted.pdf.
Extract without losing your place
Extract leaves the grid as it is, so you can pull out one set of pages, then select another set and extract again. Each extract is a separate PDF. The pages come out in the order the grid shows them, so reorder them first if you want a different order.
You can also take pages from several files into one PDF: add the files, select pages from any of them, and choose Extract. If you'd rather cut a whole document into parts by page numbers, Split PDF does that in one go.
Where the work happens
Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. The extracted file is built in your browser, on your device, and saved to your downloads. No sign-up. Your pages never reach us, so there is nothing an account would hold. No watermarks.
Good to know
- Extract needs at least one selected page; until then the button is unavailable.
- Links that point to pages you didn't extract won't go anywhere in the new file, and bookmarks are not kept.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be opened. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.
Questions about extracting PDF pages
What's the difference between Extract and Split?
Extract saves the pages you select as one new PDF. Split cuts all the pages into several files, by page ranges or by number of pages.
Does extracting change the pages in the grid?
No. The grid stays as it is, so you can extract again, or download the whole document afterwards.
Can I extract pages from more than one PDF?
Yes. Select pages from any of the files you've added. They are saved together, in the order shown.
Can I extract a single page?
Yes. Select one page and choose Extract.
