How to rearrange PDF pages
- Add your PDF. Drop it onto the box above, or use Choose PDF files.
- Move the pages. Drag a page to its new place; a marker shows where it will land. Select several pages first to move them together.
- Choose Download to save the PDF in its new order.
Moving pages your way
With a mouse or trackpad, drag a page. If it's part of the selection, the whole selection moves with it and keeps its order. The grid scrolls when you drag near its edge.
On a touch screen, press and hold a page until it lifts, then drag it.
With the keyboard, use the arrow keys to focus a page and press Space to pick it up. The arrow keys move the marker by one page or one row, Home and End jump to the start or the end, and Space drops the page. Escape cancels the move.
After a move, the pages you moved stay selected, so it's clear where they went. Each page keeps its label, such as B2, so you can always see where it came from, and the position numbers on the tiles follow the new order.
How your files are handled
Your files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded to our servers. The reordered file is built in your browser, on your device, and saved to your downloads. No sign-up. With no upload, there is no account to keep your files in. No watermarks.
Good to know
- Bookmarks are not kept in the new file.
- Password-protected PDFs can't be opened. Remove the password in your PDF reader first.
Questions about rearranging PDF pages
Can I move several pages at once?
Yes. Select them, then drag any one of them. They move together and stay in the same order relative to each other.
Can I rearrange pages from different PDFs?
Yes. Add all the files, and their pages appear in one grid that you can reorder freely. Download makes one PDF.
Do the page numbers printed on my pages change?
No. Numbers printed on a page are part of its content and stay as they are. The position numbers in the grid are only there to help you.
How do I undo a move?
Choose Undo, or press Ctrl+Z (⌘+Z on a Mac).
